Laser Star

Whilst it is possible to get advanced warning from standard laser detectors, Laser Star not only provides you with an audible and visual alert to the presense of 904nm laser but will also fire back the same frequency and pulse rate thereby confusing the mobile laser speed camera equipment. This effectively prevents it from taking a speed reading of your vehicle. Laser Star is able to do this by using fast microchip technology and class 1 laser diodes installed to the front of your vehicle. **Please note our warranty does not include fitting or refitting costs.

Laser Star is the only device on the market to use such high quality lasers and lenses. This gives huge advantages to both reception and coverage. The unit is supplied with a single laser sensor which can be fitted to either the front or the rear of the vehicle, additional laser sensor heads are available which plug in to the same junction box.
The Laser Park XS is not sold or packaged as a 'laser jammer'. The handbook clearly shows it is an operational device that is used for parking and which operates on the same, licence free wavelength of 904 nm as do many other devices. Obviously some naughty people use it as a way of defeating laser guns.
The same frequency as used by several motor manufacturers eg. Nissan's adaptive cruise control system which uses laser to determine the distance immediately in front of the vehicle and to deactivate the cruise control if the stopping distance is considered to be too short.
Police laser guns transmit around 100 pulses of infrared light in one-third of a second at a reflective area of a car, usually the front number-plate. These pulses reflect to the gun, which then calculates how much the distance is changing over time and therefore the vehicle's speed. Laser Star detects these pulses and returns its own laser beam at the same wavelength.
In order to prevent possible interference with other laser based systems Laser Star has been designed to alert the driver of possible interference and if necessary switch the system off.
Should new laser frequencies be allocated by the Home Office, the unit can be upgraded in-situ.
Laserstar serves more than one purpose and consequently there is no problem fitting one to your vehicle.

Laser Star unit FAQ's
We sell many thousands of units each year which can installed without drama at your home or place of work by mobile VSIB accredited installers. Our units are reliable and of the thousands sold it is rare to have product failure. Less than one in a thousand units fails and this is usually at point of install so a new unit is fitted straight away.
Does this system affect any other system on my car?
No, not at all. The unit is totally independent simply requiring a live and an earth connection.
What will I have inside the car?
No unsightly wires, just a single LED and control switch, neat and discreet.
What will I see outside the car?
There is very little to see. The unit is usually recessed and the lens is narrow. This needs line of sight but can be set backwards out of sight.
Can the system be moved from car to car?
Yes it can be deinstalled and reinstalled. Many of our fleet customers simply arrange this as and when required.
If I need an installer to fit for me what happens?
Most of our customers fit the device themselves, however if you would like it fitted then we can provide you with a contact number of a company that will fit the device. Please note our warranty does not include fitting or refitting costs.
